Kathy has been involved in church administrative work for over 30 years. She began at her home church in Upland, California. After five years she, her husband, Hap and youngest son, John moved to Ohio so Hap could attend seminary. Kathy worked for several different churches since then. She feels very fortunate to work at Still Waters as the Church Administrator. She has helped Hap in many of the churches he was appointed to and loves being part of ministry. She loves to knit, read, and spending time with her grandchildren.
John Haas, Business Manager
John has been a member of Still Waters since 2004, and has been a member of the praise band for most of that time. John resides in the Slinger area with his wife Debi, and 3 children (Aaron, Carter, and Nicole), and enjoys his involvement in music, sports, and scouts. John has a Bachelor’s degree in Management Computer Systems and Business Administration from UW-Whitewater, an Associate’s degree from UW-Waukesha, and had been working in the IT industry for the past 25+ years.
Marc Bartusek, Communications Designer
Born and raised in the great state of Iowa, Marc grew up only a block from his hometown UMC (Bethel), where he was both baptized and confirmed in his faith. Marc said the only drawback of living so close, "Regardless if it was 110˚F, raining, snowing or in a tornado warning… I walked to church."
In grade school Marc quickly developed a gift (a hint, it wasn’t math) which he was able to develop and grow with the help of an incredible mentor, his high school Art Teacher (O’Brien Tyrrell). Marc loved creativity and design so much he decided to go into nautical engineering… Gotcha ;-). Graphic Design was actually his career path and he received his AAA degree during the last millennia (yes, it was before computers) and has been working within the design industry ever since.
Fast forward… Marc and his wife Kim, and infant son (Marek) found themselves transported randomly to Jackson, Wisconsin in February of 1997 and along with the addition of a daughter (Sierra) they have been members of Still Waters since (almost) the start and truly love this wonderful caring, grace-filled community of faith. Marc hopes his time as Communications Designer will not only help this congregation visually relate to, and understand our mission, but also touch those who are looking to Find, be Released, and grow in their faith as a Disciple of Jesus.
