Youth Ministries Biannual Meetings

Twice each year, in September and March, Still Waters Youth Ministries gathers youth, parents/guardians, mentors, and ministry leaders for our Biannual Youth Ministry Meeting. These gatherings take the place of our regular monthly Flock Meeting and are especially important times to share where we are headed, review upcoming opportunities and expectations, and strengthen the partnership between youth, families, mentors, and the church. We ask every youth ministry family to make these two meetings a priority, with youth and at least one parent/guardian planning to attend; mentors are strongly encouraged to join us as well. As we walk together in the work of making disciples of Jesus Christ, these gatherings help ensure that we are informed, connected, and supporting our young people together.

Please save the dates: Sunday, September 13, 2026 at 6:00 p.m. and Sunday, March 14, 2027 at 6:00 p.m.

Color Splash Games

September 20th

6-8pm

Get ready to get colorful! Color Splash Games are coming to Still Waters on Sunday, September 20, from 6:00–8:00 p.m., and all youth in grades 6–12 are invited!  We’re filling the evening with colorful games, crazy challenges, plenty of laughter, and just the right amount of mess. Come ready to run, play, laugh, and probably go home looking a little more colorful than when you arrived! And this is a GREAT night to bring friends! Youth are encouraged to invite other youth in grades 6–12 to come along. Grab a friend (or two!), come join the fun, and get ready to make a colorful mess together!

Peer Mentor Fall Training

All current Peer Mentors and Mentors-in-Training should mark their calendars for our Fall Peer Mentor Training on Saturday, October 17, from 9:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. at Still Waters. Lunch will be provided.

Our Peer Mentor program is about more than helping with younger youth. It is an opportunity for high school youth to intentionally grow as disciples and Christian leaders, learning what it means to lead by serving, build relationships, model their faith, and help create a safe and welcoming community for others.

Throughout the day, Peer Mentors will spend time strengthening their own faith and developing practical skills for the responsibilities and relationships that come with Christian leadership. During the latter part of the afternoon, they will join our adult leaders for Safer Sanctuaries training, an important part of preparing everyone who serves with children and youth at Still Waters.

This is an essential training day for all Peer Mentors and Mentors-in-Training as we prepare to serve and lead together throughout the year.
