Christmas Store Update

Still Waters Church...you are truly amazing! Christmas in July was a great success as we began our work for Christmas Store in December. We have had nearly 50 people signing up for the various teams. If you haven't signed up yet, it's not too late! There are many teams that still need help and you can access the sign up online through the Still Waters website. A big need and amazing opportunity is in the area of personal shoppers. Personal shoppers are assigned a family to be with throughout the Christmas Store process. While it may seem intimidating at first, it is actually a very rewarding experience and one that makes a direct impact on people. If you have any questions about the process, reach out to Teri Kandel.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who has already signed up for a team. Your team leader will be reaching out in the next couple of months to solidify schedules. Christmas Store planning is off to a strong start. Stay tuned for updates as the months unfold!

We need people to haul toys from the church after the event. We also need youth to carry the items up and down the stairs.

Floater/Car Loaders

This area fills a variety of needs to keep the day running smoothly. It also includes loading cars with the wrapped gifts before parents are reunited with their children.

Prayer Support Team

This group of volunteers will commit to praying for the Christmas Store, its volunteers and for the families that participate. There are many options for prayer- from praying prior to the event, on the day of the event, or incorporating prayer for the Christmas Store into your everyday prayer life. This is a great team to be a part of if you aren't able to help on the day of the event but still want to be involved.

Community Outreach

After the Christmas Store, this group of volunteers will work to communicate with the families that participated in the Christmas Store throughout the subsequent year, connecting, caring and possibly inviting them to church events. The families that come to the Christmas Store have the opportunity to fill out a questionnaire indicating where they could use some assistance or prayer. Members of the Community Outreach Team will be responsible for contacting families that requested assistance or prayer. In this way we can continue to offer care for the families throughout the following year. Duties will begin after the New Year.
