Christmas Store Volunteer Opportunities
December 6, 2025
Volunteers are what make the Christmas Store a success. Come be a part of the fun! Here are the volunteer opportunities that are available for this year's Christmas Store.
Building Prep
Meet Tuesday, December 2th at 2:00p.m. to help prepare the church for decorating and set up. This will include moving tables, chairs, etc.
Candid Photographers
Take candid shots during the event.
Check-In Table
Assist team leader with greeting and checking in families as they arrive.
Children's Area
Assist team leader with activities, games, crafts, etc. while parents shop. All participants in children's area will need to pass a background check to work in this area.
Clean-up and Take Down
Assist with taking down designated decorations and packing up inventory per directive of those team leaders. Clean-up throughout the church. Set chairs back up in the sanctuary.
Community Outreach
After the Christmas Store, this group of volunteers will work to communicate with the families that participated in the Christmas Store throughout the subsequent year, connecting, caring and possibly inviting them to church events. The families that come to the Christmas Store have the opportunity to fill out a questionnaire indicating where they could use some assistance or prayer. Members of the Community Outreach Team will be responsible for contacting families that requested assistance or prayer. In this way we can continue to offer care for the families throughout the following year. Duties will begin after the New Year.
Decorating & Store Set-Up
Assist team leader with decorating throughout the church the week before the event including setting up the store. If you like to decorate for Christmas, this is the team for you!
Floater/Car Loaders
This area fills a variety of needs to keep the day running smoothly. It also includes loading cars with the wrapped gifts before parents are reunited with their children.
Personal Shopper
Assist team leader by contacting the family you're assigned to prior to the sale. The day of the event, meet your family at the check-in table and stay with them through their family photo, breakfast and shopping. This is a people centered volunteer opportunity and is so important to make the families feel welcome and comfortable.
Prayer Support Team
This group of volunteers will commit to praying for the Christmas Store, its volunteers and for the families that participate. There are many options for prayer- from praying prior to the event, on the day of the event, or incorporating prayer for the Christmas Store into your everyday prayer life. This is a great team to be a part of if you aren't able to help on the day of the event but still want to be involved.
Toy Haulers/Transporters
We need people to haul toys to the church in the evening on Wednesday, Dec. 3rd and then after the event, bring them back to our storage area. We also need youth to carry the items up and down the stairs before and after the event.
Wrapping
Assist team leader with wrapping gifts.
