Animal Blessing

Furry, feathered, four-legged, and everything in between... They're all invited! Still Waters Youth Ministries invites you and your animal companions to our Animal Blessing on Saturday, October 10, from 2:00–6:00 p.m., concluding with a special indoor worship service from 5:00–6:00 p.m.

Bring your animal companions and enjoy an afternoon celebrating the wonderful bond God has created between people and animals. There will be activities, games, photo opportunities, our hiking trail, Animal Blessing Blankets, and opportunities to remember beloved animals who are no longer with us.

Rainbow Bridge Memorial: Our Rainbow Bridge Memorial offers a special way to remember animal companions who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge. Bring a photo of your beloved animal to add to the memorial; wings will be provided. Animals who are no longer with us will also be remembered during our worship service.

Saturday Schedule

• 2:00 p.m. – Hiking Trail Opens
• 2:30–4:45 p.m. – Animal Blessing Activities
  Check in with your animal companion and explore the afternoon together! Enjoy games, photo/selfie stations, the Rainbow Bridge Memorial, and other activities for animals and their humans.
• 5:00–6:00 p.m. – Special Animal Blessing Worship
  Animals and their human families are invited inside for this special worship service celebrating our God-given relationship with the animals entrusted to our care. During worship, we will offer a blessing over all animals, including those who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.

Have an animal friend who would be happier staying home? Bring a picture instead! They can be included in the blessing too.

Following Worship – Individual Animal Prayers
Individual prayers will be available for animals and families with special prayer requests.

Special Weekend Worship, Saturday/Sunday, Oct 10/11

The whole weekend of worship will focus on celebrating God’s creation, including our animals, and we will have a special time of remembrance of our animal friends who have gone before us, and a blessing for all animal friends.  Saturday service only, animals are welcome to come to the worship service. You’re welcome to bring pictures of your animals on Sunday.
